I actually don’t blame the villainess tbh. She is rotten and she’s doing her job. The MC knew that she is living at the mercy of others but won’t plan for her own and all she have is her “innocence”. Can she slap her own face so that she can have a counter attack for the villainess? Like, she slap me fist and it’s my reflex in retaliation, I pored her tea. Or she said she annd my husband loves each other, annd so I couldn’t stop myself from getting angry and splashed her tea. But no, she remained silent and only only say one phrase which she knew they won’t believe because first, they are NOT THAT CLOSE, those people doesn’t know her well, she came from the enemies’ side. So what makes her think that they would take her side? ?
Here we go again to, “I’m pitiful, no one is on my side.”

I’ve read the novel and I can’t see the change even after the brother visits the north. ? She is still keeping her maltreatment from her husband which is absurd since they will reconcile after this green glass incident. ??
She’s acting all helpless when her brother is here. Doesn’t she knew that this is her place now and not the south where she came from? Here she have her husband.
Idk… The pity party of the FL is too much that author thinks the pity party is the only reason viewers read this. ?

i know that she seems to be all helpless and being such a burden but given the fact that she was mentally and physically abused for as long as she can remember. the trauma that built up, took over her and reprogrammed her thought to such extent to react like that, just imagine being wronged your whole life, everything you say can cause the death of yours, she has to be mentally cautious all the time and you can also see that she seems to be very sweet and wholehearted so it is understandable that she would defend herself first rather than fight back because of all the thought that they wouldn’t believe her and her desire to justify herself.
It’s hard to swallow such act coming from a mentally ill person but it is like that. Once the trigger is pull, their body react out of instinct rather than rational thought.

Aww shoot. I forgot her origin, I thought she was originally from the story, I forgot she was also abused and reincarnatee. ?
But what I’m also frustrated about this manhua is the prolong timidity of the FL as if she doesn’t want to change her personality and continue being the “Abused One” and doing pity party from Tim to time.
She’s too… How to word it…. I don’t know how to put her personality in words but I don’t like her. I really don’t. That why I’m frustrated about the story. I pity her ofcoz but she’s not doing anything to help herself, just pure pity party and she keeps staying silent about her suffering even after her and ML are on good terms in the novel.
Prolonged Pity party is not my kind of thing.
The story “How to protect the lovable you” and “Under The Oak Tree” ARE WAY BETTTTTTTTTEEEERRRRRRRR than this story.
At least, the FLs there knows how to improve themselves (alas improve personality). But not in this story, FL only smile and hides her suffering like what she does in her previous life but not changing her personality. Her weak permanently feeds the bully to bully her. ?
What I mean about her pity party is “yes I’m weak, let me smile and pretend that everything is ok. Oh I’m so pitiful I can only curl on one side. And the readers will like me more. Because they wanna protect me.” ? Nope, I want her to learn to learn to stand for herself bravely even once. I haven’t read any of the in the novel and I’m too frustrated to even wait and read till the end. I’m out.

You’re only trying to view this from your own point of view and you clearly don’t know how trauma or PTSD works ruby clearly has severe PTSD from what her brorher did to her it’s only natural she would feel helpless infront of him . The way you’re talking as if it’s so easy to stand up to someone who abused her for years is really pissing me off. I’ve been in the same situation with my mom and everytime I think I’m gonna stand up to her I just freeze when she yells at me, u really dont get how terrifying post traumatic symptoms are. Even if shes safe in the north there must be a worry that it’ll all crash down and she’ll have to go back to living work her abuser.

It was all good at the beginning but after they reconcile, the FL’s personality becomes annoying. She is enjoying the pity party and doest do anything to help herself. No plans, no side thinking to help her situation. She relay on the ML and that’s it. She was a different soul right? She knew that story. But she won’t do anything to help her future. She will be helpless, accepting every bad thing thrown to her way.
She running away and this green glass incident is already a red flag for me. This series only has good art but if this story was given a mediocre art, you won’t give this a high rating. ?
I have read thee novel and I really really can’t help get annoyed with the female lead. Also the male lead, whenever the FL is in trouble (yeah because she doesn’t do anything but wait for her misery), he was not around. ?
