I agree with all the other comments bellow. I don’t agree that many innocent people have died because of the devil, but who is to blame? THE DUKE. All this troubles stared from him. I hate Cosette but she’s the devil, not the real Cosette. I pity Cosette’s mother as well, she might not be a good woman because she wants power, but the FL’s Grandfather is also hateful.
The family setting is good tbh. We have a baad grandfather from the FL’s side. An oppressed First wife and became of that an innocent child died because of the people connected to the FL. (Not her fault ok).

For me it’s enough. He suffered already, he was betrayed, he was alone, and he sacrificed his soul to bring back FL. now that in this current life he remembers the past, he will still be haunted by the guilt he created.
