There are a few stories with transmigrated girls/mcs that doesn’t lack brain and have more common sense than this birdbrain, but yeah, I agree that manhwas full of cliches where girl will fall for a guy who even wiped out her whole family but asked for forgiveness, so he’s a “good person” and a guy who thinks that “she’s not like the other girls” and is “interesting” are extremely annoying. I think that this manhwa(?) lacks one genre in description: shoujo. Woman who knows (from a book) and was already informed/threatened twice that emperor is a bloody tyrant that can cut off her head without any second thought is playing a daydreaming ignorant Mary Sue bcs “he’s oh so hAndSOmE” and “he’s just my type”. Trying to escape in the middle of the day, without any advanced plan or preparations (that’s imperial palace for fluff’s sake), with a suspiciously looking bag, running away from guards when she’s not deaf and clearly hears them calling… and if that was not OBVIOUS enough, she also jumps off the window… and her illogical and idiotic grievance that author should “write that jumping off the window from third floor will hurt” (if that’s not a matter of course for her), plus that little unimportant fact that she literally jumped out like an arrow with her head NOT FEET as the closest body part to the ground… it definitely puts her in a category of “braindead beyond saving” or “please don’t show your idiocy to the public”, at least in my opinion (and so far). I lost count of dropped n/m where main characters were illogical (or stupid/ignorant) to the point that I wondered how they survived thus far or how they’re still breathing. I understand and I personally felt that resentment many times 😓🤝
I like manhwa(hua?) “Maid and a vampire” (if I didn’t wrote the title wrongly). Mc becomes certain guy’s wife, but she didn’t forgot or forgave easily the fear she felt and what happened when she met the guy for the first time, and every time he made a mistake (serious ones that made mc lost her trust in him) he had to repent for what he did.
