i wonder if this series is only allowed to have a certain number of chapters or if the creator’s just impatient.
so many things happened in the background, new characters get added and are hardly explored. and it’s not just the side characters like the emperor, ingrid or the mage, the fl has a coming of age ceremony off screen. her learning magic and running away sounds like a pretty big thing but it get brushed off in favour of this new yet overdone plot.

It’s pretty funny and the hostage situation is kinda hot at first, i like that they made it humorous rather than angsty, but after 20 chapters in i got pretty bored. the characters are definitely very one-dimensional and the pacing is so fast that it blows over major character details and hence leads to zero world building.
tldr; a witty light read, just don’t expect too much

I’m contemplating on continuing to read this. I like fl, I like Inglid. But I hate the toxic relationships between everyone 👁️👁️ girl really jumping into the hands of her abusers and story really do be romanticizing it. Inglid’s reactions are realistic, I know this story is fiction and all but damn. These are just bad tropes.
I only got to chapter 9 (lol) the romance sucked real bad. It’s fine if there were no romance in the story tho, if it was a story about Luana trying to save herself instead of falling for her abusers, maybe I’d give it a read. But this is just nah
