Ahh man, I really did feel bad for him after the backstop reveal, enough that I could still understand him acting a little bit crazy and forgiving it. Like of course you’re not gonna be sane after witnessing your love die multiple times, and the time reversal magic also probably messed with his head after that many attempts so you can sort of understand. But dude.
