Not sure if Paris was originally Juliet’s fiancé in the original Shakespeare play but he is cousin to Romeo and a Montague.

I just looked it up, and yes, he was Juliet’s suitor, and the Crown Prince’s close friend. And CP is cousin of Mercutio, best friend of Romeo, which is Paris’ cousin. Looks like they live in a small district and everyone is related to the other.. lol

Tybalt in the original Romeo-Juliet was killed by Romeo after previously killing Mercutio, Romeo’s bestfriend. And the plot twist was that there was a hint of love-hate relationship between Tybalt and Mercutio. Yup, the gay-ish one. And yes, Count Paris was also killed in a duel with Romeo. Can’t wait how far these characters would be twisted here… lol
