         No, basically lorenzos sister aka freya wants to be the one to marry izek so she tries to blame and makes rude rumours about ruby to make izek hate her and divorce her.

      So basically Freya is Lorenzo’s sister. She came to Omerta with her brother and fell in love with Izek Omerta. Then Pope Borgia arranged a marriage with Rudbekia Borgia for Izek Omerta. Given his title as a Duke and his position in the Paladin Order, he could not refuse Pope Borgia’s request and had to go through with the Marriage with Rudbekia.

      Now, apart from that, Izek knows nothing of Rudbekia, while Rudbekia knows quite a lot about Izek. Izek’s disdain for marriage stems not from a dislike of women, but actually a general dislike for the Church and other nobles. The Doctraine of the Church and the stigma of the nobles are what lead to his harsh life, and there are lot more aspects to his mother’s death and his sister’s condition as well. In a way, one could say Rudbekia Borgia is the perfect match for Izek Omerta since she is neither sheltered, nor spoiled. Izek needs a wife who is not just there for him, but also carries him the rest of the way when he collapses from exhaustion, and Rudbekia needs a strong shield that can protect her from whatever people throw at her. In that sense these two are made for each other.
