    I think, the ml isn’t that trashy (just a little. He became a trash because he divorced the fl without getting to know her deeper). He still cares for the fl but he can’t distinguish whether it is love or pity.

      Im starting to think that he divorced her because of her father. It makes total sense. In the Autum hunt, we can see that his Majesty was hunting for a deer and FL’s father killed it shamelessly. We also know that he is aiming to get dirt on the Fl’s father and knows that her father is plotting a rebellion. We just dont know the reason. We know his Majesty loves her because he shows it. I don’t think its pity but more like guilt. He feels bad of what she had to go through but he know it’s because he put her in that position. Thats why he feels guilty, so he wants to treat her right. It’s also said in one of the chapters that he didn’t get close to a woman in the past 6 years after the divorce, and more over the Bad Knight that is a backstabber said his majesty treats her and he cute baby differently from everyone else. They both have feelings for each other and its obvious but they can’t say it. Either way this is my hypothesis but i could be wrong. ANYWAYSSSSS I hope to see MOREE ?

        I think so too. Also, it is a form of protection. The castle is a mess and he dont want her to get caught in between her family and him as her husband.

      I would guess, that this goes deeper. I think ml loved fl for a really long time, but he believes he did what he had to do to probably “protect” her or something similar. Or maybe someone convinced him, that she was using him for empress position, that’s why he decided, that she never loved him.

      I agree with you i also think that he likes but he can’t say it because he is feeling guilty and I also thinks that he hates her father and even throgh he likes her he just can’t tell her how he feels and he don’t know if it pity or love and her she still likes him but she keeps telling herself that she dons’t care about him and she dons’t like him and the ml hates her father a lot and since her father was plotting a rebellion I think he through that she was with him and he felt bad but he couln’t trust her and in one chapter she tells him that she is poor I think that that is when he started feeling bad for what he did to her and guilty too and he couldn’t say sorry because he was scard because she could leave and she could also heat him forever because he mistook and her dad the sa

        Yes, that’s also what I think that’s why I can’t hate the ml (so I hope that he doesn’t do anything that’ll make me hate him lol) Moreover, It’s clear that the ml really cares for her but he doesn’t show it coz the fl’s father might know then he’ll use the fl as his weakness coz the father kicked her out, so instead he divorced her. Also, the story’s in fl’s perspective so ml’s feelings are not clear.

    In my opinion, they both love each other. But the ML had to let go of the FL because of her father rebellion. Like, if a family was caught in rebellion, their whole family will either be expelled or executed. Because the FL father is the leader of rebellion, she had to be executed if her father was caught. But since she was expelled from the family, she was saved from being executed. And after almost all of the nobles that related to rebellion were captured and executed, he finally went searching for her. But the ML still did wrong for not telling her his plan, he might think that she will be upset if she knew about his plan to capture her father.

    He doesn’t like her even if FL is just trying to be there for him but he’s not that trashy. ML does feel apologetic when he knows that he’s in the wrong but he’s also proud. Like dude fell in the lake for FL to help him ?. FL got sick and ML was proud so he didn’t stayed for her. Btw, they will reach the castle where the gramps is staying without the ML discovering that Theor is his son ?
