It’s better. It makes Marian more redeemable. Because it never made sense in the novel that her family looks down on her and yet she still acts as if she’s spoilt which is strange. In this version, she has been humiliated a few times and have realised that it’s not worth sticking together with her family, which makes more sense

What the actual hell is your problem ?? The fl suffered so much because of this man .she wasted her whole life just to be with him and he threw her out after taking her virginity.i don’t care if he’ had reasons .now you expect her to just forgive and be with him .idk what type of a person you are, but anyone who justifies his actions seems like a total ass .and she is the best mother for that child she cares for him and does not want him to live a terrible life because of this man .

Chill. Wich part did I “justify his actions”? And it’s not ‘her’ Will to be with the emperor, it’s her father. Yes she likes him but all her “effors” are because of the father. And I didn’t say that she should forgive him, which part did I said for her to forgive him? Bru… Don’t make assumptions and self interpretation.
What I’m hoping for is for her to be honest before it will be too late so at least if the emperor knew he is his child, he can protect him unlike the mother who is powerless while she knew that some people are already having suspensions about the real father of the child. All she knew is to run away. Don’t she knew that if those bad people really wanted to, those bad people can spend their effort to kill the child? They are WAY to rich and powerful than her. The family of that balck haired girl helped the emperor’s position to stabilize so they are being more greedy. They want nothing on their way (child) for the black haired girl to be the empress.
And bsed on the current chapter, the child was kidnapped and thanks to a female (black haired sister) he was alive and thanks to the emperor too for saving him.
See my point? The mother can’t protect the child, but the emperor can.
There will be more attempt to the safety of the prince (child), but at least there is the emperor to assist, unlike living in a single mother far away with assassins in their tail. They can’t hide forever.

Dude then why call mother a bitch she’s not even complain to anything related to emperor and she got abandoned while pregnant and Pregnant woman really suffer mentally thats why she’s overprotective and a monster when her child got hurt not every person have to get together with just a simple gifts or apologies and she thought that the emperor didn’t love her cuz of the emperor’s actions cuz the emperor suck at expressing those feelings
And the child can be use as hostage and political pawn for the mother’s father and once that happen theyre done. They lose cuz of the child cuz of Political stuff and public opinion and if the emperor did fight back theres a chance of coup d’etat or war against the aristocrat side cuz of yes Politics

Huh? She got abandoned but we still don’t know why the emperor did that. He seems to like her and maybe there is a story why he divorced her. And hell yeah! I do not agree with him abandoning his wife just because of some reason. But I didn’t mention for her to forgave him, all I am pertaining here is for her to tell him that the child was his, he has the very right to know that. Also, he divorced her but didn’t knew that later on she is pregnant. All in all he did a d*CK move, and that is divorcing her after their first night as husband & wife, but he did not abandoned the child because I. The first place, like what I said he didn’t know.
She clearly saw how her child wants to be around thee emperor and as if there is a pull-of-blood between them but she keeps on keeping the secret until some bad people notice. And how did she protected her child after those people know his existence? None. She got set-up by the black haired girl and can’t do anything in front of the nobles, then who saved her “protective ass of a “mother”.”? Her father (which he have a dark motive about it.) and the emperor. Bruh.
