I don’t know if it’s the machine translation that just can’t do genders or if its the translator… bit a matriarch is a female leader of a house, the pope stepped down as the patriarch the male leader.
I am by no means an eagle at spelling, but the male to female versions of words seems to be mixed up almost every time there is a chance.

More then it being annoying, it makes me question if it is a machine translation MTL or if it is done by a human. MTL is fine, but it should be transparent as the quality is usually worse (by a fair bit), and there is no realistic path for it to receive a proper translation from a team. Actually I only know 1 story right now that has a MTL and a proper team working on it. And the MTL is 4-10 chapters ahead.
