All he knows is that he slept with a fair slender woman with an above average height and pale hair. If he did remember, do you think he would have any issue recognizing Karinne? Also, Nitence has red eyes, which is rare in that nation, so he would not even think twice about acknowledging Nitence as his son. Its jut that his senses were too dull at that point to recognize that Karinne was the woman he slept with.
