Personally, I think it’s not completely his fault… If you’ve read the novel you probably know that all his actions aren’t really directed by himself but by Reeze since this world is her creation.
But because Edith has succeed to fill the conditions to break the first restriction, the power of Reeze on the plot and the characters has decreased a bit, which is why Killeon isn’t totally under her power and start to think by himself and questioning some of Edith’s actions (even if it’s just a little bit 😅).
