It’s a type of gambling doing day trading honestly (or requires you to have in-depth knowledge of certain business areas) like the MC is doing, these days there’s ETFs (exchange traded funds) that are like a basket which holds multiple stocks so you buy one and it’s holding 200 different companies as an example. The fund then manages the companies in that basket and even if one goes bust you won’t notice much of a difference overall so it’s far lower risk.
Rather than doing what MC is I recommend checking out bloggers/youtubers in the FIRE (financial independence retire early though E can stand for elective as well but early is for search engine). Many of these people either solely focus on building a stock portfolio or have it as one of their incomes and they focus on long term
investment which is less intensive research wise due to EFTs. Research/education wise it’s a lot easier to learn and the vast majority of people in this space don’t sell anything unless it’s something they love and value. If someone is trying to sell a course just take what free information they offer and move on to someone else.
Basic steps are easy, FIRE has been around for ages but this term was only coined fairly recently by Mr Money Mustache, an American blogger.
