I don’t get the root of their “anger” anymore. Made up your mind FL before I drop this. Gosh, so frustrating. It’s good at the start and now I slowly giving hope fro improvements.
The only reason I’m continuing the story is the downfall of the mother. ?

The root of her anger is twofold:
1: Cainel treats his life carelessly. The very nature of taking a dragon’s heart is often fatal and he did it not once but repeatedly. He’s also pressing her to spend money on dresses and frivolities- money that he earned by putting his life on the line. Of course she doesn’t want to spend it needlessly. She also wants him to value his own wellbeing, for both their sakes.
2: He’s hypocritical. He asked her to to tell him where she goes and what she does but he left her the morning after their wedding night without a word. The marriage might be (for the time being) only an act but he’s not acting the part whatsoever.
The problem is the translation isn’t all that great, so nuance is being left out. Her anger is partially justified imo, with the part that isn’t being pinned on her trying not to fall in love with him and failing to realize she already has.

They both married out of love, he doesn’t know social/noble cues and she doesn’t understand him completely. It’s less demanding and more of them communicating since that’s what they both want. He doesn’t know what she wants so she’s telling him and she doesn’t know what he wants so he’s telling her…it’s healthy communication…

People are allowed to get mad and not actually speak, but the two of them seem to be warming up to each other quickly so I’m sure a healthier relationship dynamic is going to be presented soon enough (if they update the story ?)

Ohhhh it’s time to clean the butler. I bet he is also embezzling some money since the ML doesn’t check his home too much and the reason why the servants are “comfortable” in that place is no one is looking after. Them properly, so that they can do whatever they want.
