I wish authors would literally stop doing this. Your in the middle of a fight and just stop to have a whole conversation, that literally does nothing to progress the story. Stops the pacing to a screeching halt and make a moment of excitement completely vanish. Stop stretching stories out like this it’s pointless, makes no sense, and actually hurts the story in the process. What are you writing Disney villains now, now they gotta monologue telling their entire plan? While literally in the middle of a fight to the death. smh sloppy and lazy writing imo.
