Yeah good call. Fortunately there are a lot of people and trees to make charcoal and they should make coal heating stoves if possible or maybe add chimneys to the houses. Yes they can be made with mud in an emergency or with bricks if they still have some in storage.

So it would be great to train the non combatants to use them before the fighters meet the vikings or once/IF the vikings get inside the camp. Would be a good idea to construct some secret bunkers in case the children, women and seniors have to get to safety or escape.
