So, Heavenly Note Sect is ALL women, locked up behind closed borders, and they are united…? Clearly, author has never seen what happens when you enclose a large number of women in the same area for long periods of time. They CAN be harmonious, but most of the time, women will be at each other’s throats for the pettiest of grievances. Only to be further aggravated by the caste system that has been present in every form of governance in this story.
You dont like my eyeliner? We are now mortal enemies. You think my dress looks cheap? Mortal enemies. My boyfriend looks at you for a slightly prolonged duration? OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!
Not only that, women are very good at overthinking things, and holding grudges about their own misguided thoughts, so those inflated mortal enemy grudges…? They are now the basis of their relationship with that person. It often takes an emotional tactical bomb for women to overcome their grievances with one another, guys will punch the crap out of each other, and that will often times resolve it. Provided of course they weren’t inbred with noble pride, much like the antagonists of this story are.
In fact, almost all of the male antagonists here were often so obsessed with their status and pride, that it became comparable to a woman’s ability to inflate offenses and maintain said grudge beyond healthy limits.
So basically, all the antagonists in this story have been stuck up whiny bitches with a superiority(or inferiority, such as with Ye Han) complex.
