I wonder what “element” his dragon soul falls under. Blood isn’t really an identifiable element. Water, for blood being water based? Metal, because its “golden”? Or are the obscure/compound types considered “non-elemental” like him?

I would have pulled out the gold essence and watched the palace intent freak out again. If it’s so obsessed with one piece of treasure, it wont take much to convince everyone else that playing by the palace’s rules means that no one will obtain any treasure.
But why is everyone so pale? Did they water down their paint/ink recently?
