Siwan’s total unwillingness to compromise is a red flag to me. Just showing up is half baked.
If he really didn’t want to go, he shouldn’t have gone, and if he ended up going, he should have truly made an effort to get along with those neighbours.
That doesn’t mean that he has to be a total doormat, there are more sociable ways to answering those rude questions.
He could have said something modest like, “Oh, surely it’s enough to get by since I am here, hahaha” when asked about how much he makes from photography etc.
Another thing is that, when you invite someone out to eat, etiquette dictates that it’s you who should be paying.
Why should their neighbours take time out of their day to come pay to see them? That doesn’t make any sense.
He was very rude. And Gauen probably let it slide since they are still in the infatuation stage, but once that wears off, they would start fighting if this was real life.
I understand that he has trauma, however that doesn’t give him an excuse to be an ass.
He should get over it, and learn to differentiate between evil people, good people and generally harmless fools.
There was no need for him to be so petty against the generally harmless fool.
Btw, it’s not just Siwan, Gaeun also has her own behavioural problems.
