So far only complaint about the dresses is, the corset. these dresses did not have corsets. they wore stays. Think super long structured sports bra. the purpose of stays (and corsets) is to support the breasts and be a foundation of the clothing to build up with fashionable figure through padding, hoops, ruffles, and petticoats. It was not assumed until the 1920s that the woman’s body matched the fancy dress.
If you try to wear an 1800’s, 1700’s, 1600’s dress without the proper foundational layer, it gonna hurt and be super heavy.
Rant over. xD I really like historical clothes. And, stays are my preferred support garment as a rather large chested woman. lol Cut down on my back pain thats near constant.
