Why was he surprised? He said a while back that he had no focus and his cultivation was damaged because he scattered his attention with a formless soul realm. Now that he has focused on a single cultivation, and a powerful one, has 2 beast souls, and has been studying 3 laws as a foundation, why is it only the vine that makes him think something has changed?
