IT’S AMAZING at least for the first 40 or so chapters.
After that, we get a time skip that doesn’t make a lot of sense from my POV, and the story starts to drag with bits of daily life (which I don’t hate, but it’s not the reason I liked this novel).
Instead, there are lots of chapters with the new random lost puppy dude that fell in love with the current FL, who is Ms. Perfect from his point of view so, of course he fell in cheap love…

Its been a while since I got an adrenaline pump from reading. I loved this chapter. (I still feel pity for Rosette and her family, but that honestly makes it even better)

Sure its nice in the story, but imagine a real couple like that.
The man is irritable and unsocial, borderline hostile to everyone except his women, who he is fiercely protective of and extremely jealous. It is sadly not that unusual in real life, but in real life the women (or man if the gender roles are reversed, because it happens to both sex) is beaten badly, and controlled. She will keep falling down the stairs or walk into things, until one day when she is hit one time to many, or to hard and just, doesn’t get up.
Yeah I know I went dark, but its not a good idea to be around someone that acts like the male lead.

Is he really that unsocial? He only does that glare for comedic relief and those threats are mainly used by the author to create impact and get the readers on edge. The parents are the only ones I remember him really threatening, and they deserve it. They’ve abused a child so much to the point of stripping her of her identity. It makes sense he’d be hostile to everyone besides the one person he’s been together with for almost decade since childhood. He’s the next in line to the throne, he has to be on edge and his parents do seem to be the type to force the childhood out of him, which would contribute to it. He knows he can trust her, that’s why he isn’t as hostile. The hostility towards her friends, is something I understand being a red flag LOL. Though, they are still nobles and it would also be political ties. The stalking is extremely creepy, he gotta cut that out though and just trust her, and wait. He didd get abandoned by his fiancé after the supposedly happiest day of his life. It’s been over 2 years, he should’ve stopped by now, but him being abandoned like that, that’s gonna cause major trust issues. I do get your points though, and we gotta stay real when reading these. Before this arc, he was genuinely, from what I remember, a really good ml. The saviour complex was iffy, but understandable as she was legitimately getting locked up and couldn’t do anything about it. This arc thoughh, he’s declined BAD 💀

Its been a good while since I made that reply so grant me wiggelroom with my answer.
I was answering why it isn’t really a good thing that he acts that way. And yes I know it’s a fantasy story, not real life.
But his behavior is anti social, controlling and possessive. And he acts that way towards everyone that isn’t the female MC/anyone that gets near her.
That is troubling behavior rather then something that should be looked upon acceptingly, “just because” it isn’t harmful directly to the female MC.
That was my point, that is what I was responding to. Now if you challenged me (please don’t, I don’t have time to reread nor do I want to) to make an argument for why he is good for her, then I am sure I could do so.
